Entertainment Panels
This body of work is an investigation of culture as experienced through the fragments of the digital age. Of interest to me is the relationship between individual reality and the collective reality that comes about through mass media programming. Finding meaning in this tangle creates strange ambiguities that can frequently be as compelling as the sources from which they were derived, be that football games, news programs, or beer commercials. Translating these fragments into paintings then asks if meaning is really necessary or even desirable.
